Heidi Erickson, M.D. has been interested in the effects of aging on health and well-being throughout her career. While working as a psychiatrist and as an Emergency Medicine physician, Dr. Erickson became increasingly aware of the toll that lifestyle, stress, nutrition, and activity level can have on both physical and mental health. It has remained a goal throughout her career to strive to include these components of health into the treatment of her patients.

After watching many men and women walk through the doors with symptoms suggesting that they were suffering from andropause and hormonal changes, she felt it was important to add this component of care and address the root problems of chronic insomnia. Anxiety, and Depression that were occurring in this age group. (Not to mention the many unwanted physical changes and other concerns that seem to come on at midlife.)
As a result of this, Dr Erickson began offering bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (including pellet therapy with BIOTE) to her patients.

With the introduction of newer therapies for sexual health, Dr Erickson has expanded her treatment to include therapies for sexual health for both men and women and now offers GAINSWave an exciting new non invasive treatment for sexual health for both men and women.

Dr.Erickson received her medical degree from the Uniformed Services of the Healthy Sciences- F.Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland after serving eight years in active duty as an enlisted member of the United States Navy. She completed a combined residency and fellowship program in Psychiatry,Pediatrics and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She then returned to federal service where she completed 10 more years of service before retiring in 2011. Dr.Erickson is board certified in Psychiatry and has been board certified in Pediatrics.
